This book had a really strong start. The way that it's narrated as though the main character is talking to the reader. Except, she's talking to us like we're her therapist as she relives and attempts to heal from her trauma. This is promising, and unlike anything I've read so far!

The most unbelievable thing about this book so far is that Emmy and Oliver (the MMC's children) are six years old and eight years old.

What six year old uses phrases like "Come, you will dine with us tonight!"

If I had all the time in the world (and didn't have to work tomorrow) I could finish this book in one sitting! This book has had me hooked from page one, and I already can't wait to get back from work tomorrow to keep reading.

I saw this book on Tik Tok forever ago, and I immediately added it to my TBR. Well, surprise surprise! It was available on Kindle Unlimited so I had to jump on it! So far I'm liking it, but I'm definitely confused!

There is so much happening in this book right now.

Honestly, I don't understand all the hate this book gets for being messy because to me it just seems like the characters are all on their own side quests to help accomplish the common goal and defeat the common enemy.

I'm still trudging along in House of Flame and Shadow. This book is messy (and I haven't decided if it's messy in a Kingdom of Ash kind of way or if it's messy in a not thought out kind of way.) There is so much happening with all the characters and they are all doing their own things which can sometimes make things hard to follow

Oh My GOSH!
If I didn't have to work tomorrow I swear I could devour the rest of this book tonight. I'm so glad I listened to the people that were telling me to push through the world building because holy cow!

The world building was a little intense. I'm still pretty new to the fantasy genre, and I've never read anything with this amount of detailed world building. But that being said, I think that the story is good and I have an idea where it's going. So far of all the SJM worlds this is my least favorite (Throne of Glass will always be THAT girl for me) but I'm enjoying it!

This book is daunting. I'm a little scared of having my heart ripped out after Throne of Glass. The world building is a little intense, so I'm having a harder time getting into this one! But that being said, I'm not even 10% of the way through it yet, so I think things will get easier the more I read.

I love this book. I haven't read it in years, but I need something familiar before diving into my next big fantasy read, and this is it! I can't wait to dive back into this timeless story.

This book has been.. interesting so far. Let's just say it's convinced me maybe one star reviews should be few and far between and constructive instead of critical :) I LOVE THE PREMISE SO FAR!

I am still insanely confused by what is happening, though I think I have a better understanding.

This book is weird in the sense that I feel like I'm flying through it but I still have so many pages to go.

Tell me why I've been calling this book N0S4A2 instead of Nosferatu. Other than that, I'm absolutely flying through this book, even though I didn't think I would.

I'm starting to think I should have saved this book for this October because holy cow is it giving me creepy vibes!

I absolutely love Riley Sager's books, and I will read anything he puts out! So far, I'm loving this book as well! If you're hunting for a good, old fashioned "Read-with-the-Lights-On" thriller, this one has been a major page turner so far!

I've had a harder time getting into this one, which is surprising because when I was reading King of Wrath, I was insanely excited for Kai's story. Something about it though is just making it so hard to connect with the characters and the plot.

So far this one is harder to get into than King of Wrath. It's just starting slower, which is completely okay. But so far I'm having a harder time connecting to the characters.
