I’m almost 6 hours in and it feels like nothing has happened, but also so much? Like dear lord this is draggingggggg on. I will finish because I’m slightly invested with the plot. But I can’t get over damn near nothing really happening for 4 hours. The pacing is wonky.

Chewing on rocks and climbing walls already

Okayyyy, the world building in this is top notch. Absolutely phenomenal backstories and trauma healing. BUT CAN WE MAKE SOME NOISE FOR THE TENTACLE PLAY??? 10/10

This is such a profound quote that is sadly so insanely relatable in present day US. Hafsah, the woman you are.

This MMC is like obsessed with her “forbidden hole” and all arse fecking stuff that it’s almost (basically) off putting. I’m all for a little starfish play, whatever wets your whistles, but this is like weirdly obsessive. LOL

Also the FMC’s quirk is that instead of cussing she says tv show names. Why this girl saying PEAKY BLINDERS during fucking oh my goddddd

I might come back to this book.. unsure right now. The best way I could explain it is that things in this book just ✨happen✨. There’s no build-up or really any explanation. It feels like I’m being flatly told a story rather than being immersed in it. That’s to say, it’s not a bad premise and I did like it for the most part. Just very meh right now

Let it be known that it is not his dad. It is basically a man he met at 19 that happened to get married to his deadbeat mom after a few months and then divorced shortly after. (Mom isn’t in picture) so MMC and “dad” are like two bros who became friends from a shit situation lmao

This MMC is pissing me off more than any other MMC in any other book EVERRRRER
