Peter is starting The Girl and the Stars (Book of the Ice, #1)
such a slow burn and I cant help but wonder if the fact that the book takes place on a planet covered in ice is the cause

"NOOOOOOOOO, GOD NOO" Micheal Scott

I had the same reaction when the author added a woman and child to help the MC. The woman has problems but the child is the bane of my existence. I cannot stand the smart, reasonable child cliche because children are not smart nor reasonable, and that's okay!! because they have other endearing attributes like their very existence being precious. Please stop before I implode

This book vexes me so, much like in my relationship with The Old Man i find myself irrationally angry.

One of the most fascinating books I have come across, as my brother has a degree in economics I can only conclude that he has been purposely trying to keep me in mire of unawareness, but why....I must investigate further

Peter is on page 41 of 170 of Miracles - C. S. Lewis
Miracles - acts of divine intervention that transcend natural law

1. There are two camps
a) naturalists - there is only a natural law and it governs the physical world.
b) Supernaturalists - there is natural law and it governs the physical world, and a greater law that can transcend our understanding of the natural law, this is not a new law or reality, simply a higher one.

archetypes = a original or foundation blueprint for which newer iterations are built on

I have seldom up to this point understood the importance of setting or location. For example this story partly takes place in Switzerland and Italy and as I have been to those places I feel a much stronger connection to the story. Id imagine that the closer you are to the setting of the story the stronger the connection which also means that you must think about the target audience... *pondering noises*
