The amount of manipulation and ulterior motives in this book is hysterical. Favorite quote so far- ““But I can hate without it coming to violence.” “Hate is its own violence, my prince.”

In the book there is a relationship struggle with Hermione with Ron and Harry. I am also seeing character development in Hermione when she is not so concerned with rules or acting perfect.

I am surprised he has stayed with that family for so long! I thought they were for sure going to attack him when he first met the brothers playing basketball.

What a joke Professor Lockhart is. Giving a test about himself? Like: What is Professor Lockhart's favorite color? Are you kidding me?

I take more from this book when I read it little by little. When I read it in a whole chunk at a time, it seems repetitive, even though it isn't. I am able to understand what Holmes is saying when I take it little by little.
