I’ll be honest, the first two chapters I wasn’t sure I was going to like this one, but I’M SAT.
This book is excellent and the plot has the perfect balance of stakes but also slice of life? It’s cozy but also I’m still turning pages and have to know what’s going to happen next.

My only regret is not splurging and getting a paperback/hardcover on the kickstarter 😂
I CANT wait to start this one!!

The audiobook narrator for Danni so randomly funny 😭
She kind of give Robin from Stranger things vibes and her voice randomly goes so breathy haha

But I’d probably do the same thing if I was audiobook narrating so no judgment 👌

I love the characters so much but like this beyond Holly Jackson level of language 😭

I can’t tell if the author *wants* you to think it’s Luke or if it’s just really obvious…maybe he killed her because he knew if he didn’t than dad wouldn’t give him the company?

That feels a bit too obvious tho (and lowkey depressing 😭)

Emily thought it was her captor so she tried to kill them and then realized it was Jet and so she was scream crying or something from a different room!!

The CWs are irking me a bit so I might DNF(?). But Here’s my theory so far (spoilers ahead?):

Ok hear me out—apparently Jet has a sister ‘Emily’ whose only be reference to once, the dog made a “weird “ scream when Jet was attacked, I hear the plot twist is insane, And there’s apparently an awful event from seventeen years ago that the family never talks about.

My theory: Someone’s been hiding Emily
