Yeeeeah, I'm going to dnf. My apologies to the author because the story might be amazing, but the second-person POV is driving my nuts.

I don't think second-person pov is for me because it's completely taking me out of the story. I'll try again tomorrow but sadly this might be a dnf.

Uuuuuuugh this is so goooooooood!!! I genuinely have no words.

I love Katherine Arden's writing! I was never able to get into the Winternight trilogy, but the Warm Hands of Ghosts was amazing and so far the Unicorn Hunters is too. It's crazy how an author can write paragraphs describing the environment, the people in it, what they're doing-- and still not paint a clear enough picture in your head, not like Katherine can in just one scene that doesn't even take up a page.

I need someone to make a video game based on this. The infection is reeeeeally cool-- perfectly creepy and so fitting for the touristy beach town backdrop.

REALLY love how the audiobook did the interview scene on the ship. The sound design for that entire chapter was awesome! The characters are a definite highlight too! We haven't even gotten to the creepy parts yet, I'm so excited!

I can't believe I'm only half way through this. Friends, if you haven't read this yet, please do. It's fantastic and I highly recommend the audiobook.

I love how every character is just soooo unique. I especially love Neema's inability to keep herself from correcting someone when they're wrong. Every time Cain uses that against her is the funniest... I love them!

I tried reading the physical book twice and DNFed both times so I tried the audiobook and am going to DNF again for good. I'm just so bored and there's nothing I hate more than wasting my time, I'm sorry.

Slow start but I can't remember what this book is about whatsoever, so I'm excited to see where it goes.

I adored the first book so much it would be a disservice to force myself to read this while I'm an 24/7 hockey mindset. I'll come back to you, my love, don't you worry.

I'm not quite ready to sit this one down, but it's hockey season and I'm so into watching games and reading hockey romances. And the Heated Rivalry adaption is dropping at the end of the month, so I need to do a re-read for that ... BUT GUYS, this is genuinely starting out so well. Should I dnf if the interest isn't there right now?? It's an arc so I really need to, but but but HOCKEY!!!
