DNF at 30%. I cannot take the writing here. The MC constantly repeating herself is bad enough, the attempts at bringing the food off the page for the reader are awkward and do not land, but the biggest sin is the author leaving nothing, NOTHING to the reader to discern. Liv’s inner monologue is unnatural.

Oh, damn. I was worried this was where we were headed. About to ruin a really good book, aren’t we.
