I read this back in August 2000. I saw the book again and didn’t remember a lot of it so decided to read it again. Glad I did. Coz wow that Etta, what a nasty woman!

Wow- this storyline has grabbed me!

Laugh out loud funny. And oddly thought provoking.

So many adjectives ! interesting, sad, appalling and even funny at times.

Just so you know - the cover picture on the book I’m reading and the picture that Goodreads is featuring are totally different!
This actually has a lot of intrigue.

It is a toss up between Eek, OMG and oh no she didn’t!

This book is about the “crazy lady” in Jane Eyre so it feels like required reading. 🤷🏻‍♀️. And it might not technically be a classic but I’m probably gonna use it to check off that box for Q3. 😏

About to finish this one while on my latest road trip to SC. Ugh! I’m expecting a big turn around but it isn’t looking good.

I’m finding this book to be very engaging. Hannah is sharing her thoughts about love. “it’s the deal we have to sign again and again to keep that love. We don’t turn away from the parts of someone we don’t want to see. However, quickly or long it takes to see them. We accept them if we’re strong enough. Or we accept them enough to not let the bad parts become the entire story.”
