Transitioning from concentrated fantasy reads to contemporary/literary fiction has made it difficult for me to fly through this book. There are some interesting commentary here but the main character hasn't made that much of an impression on me. It's been a slow read and it's toeing the line between "it's okay to read slower than i'm used to" and "i think this will put me on another reading slump."

I was originally team Daffyd but halfway through I was kinda team Tal. I do kind of wish that Dafyyd was given more screen time and more interactions with Ffion but I'm 61% of the way through so there might be more chance, but PLEASE just give my boi a fighting chance.
I'm too fickle for this shit. Author shouldn't try to make me like Tal than my original ship.

this book is very optimistic to the point that i feel too cynical for it. it has great points but im having a hard time to actually enjoy it partly because im on a reading slump and also uni begun recently AND IT IS KICKING MY ASS. i barely get enough sleep and the work just piles up to the brim. i do hope that i get to finish this book this month.

This is sending me into a devastating reading slump. This update is a call for help.
