I am in the biggest book slump ever. And I’m afraid I don’t think it’ll get better every year since 2023 I watch the Latin version of big brother which consumes me 24/7 literally. And it starts next month. I just haven’t even felt like picking up a single book, none call my attention. I do find myself thinking of books I read three years ago tho so maybe rereading those soon to feel something.

I’m sorry but I’m lol right now. I finished Releasing 10 getting ready to post my review and it’s no longer an option right now. I go onto Instagram and Chloe just updated a video 18 minutes ago talking bout the response this book has gotten, seeing CW say she’s bipolar and went through literally Lizzie did makes so much sense on why she’s hell bent on having ppl like her. 🫢

I’m sorry but no, I don’t think I’ll ever forgive Lizzie for how she acts towards Gibsie. Again what she went through all those years was terrible and I wish neither her of Gibsie had met Mark, but girl you’ve been getting abused for years also fucking say that, it would be so easy to get proven, instead you try to force Gibsie to do so and when he doesn’t out of panic you get pissed.

I’m someone who isn’t a huge fan of Lizzie and even now 325 pages in I’m still not. I was excited for this book because of the series it’s in not the character. And it’s just reading bout cringy 5-10 year olds 🥲 we didn’t need such a long book about children!!

As I read this book I put aside my love for Gibsie, I am beyond bored, I strongly believe Chloe chose to write a huge book of Lizzie as a child with mental illness to get some sympathy for her since she’s so disliked. It’s not working at least for me, yes what’s she’s living is beyond sad and she didn’t deserve it but it does NOT at all justify who she’s been in this series.

This bitch asking him to fuck her at her parents house is her being petty she once heard Ares and Hannah through the walls and it just makes me laugh at her even more. There’s no way people see Hannah as the villain or person to hate here.

What the hell am I reading?! This is such a badly cringy written book, with the worst scenario of arranged marriage .

I’m going to need to get to the part where Hannah is an awful person and the why Ares was with her because this is annoying, I never thought there was a way of doing marriage of convenience wrong but here we are and it’s probably because it’s between SIBLINGS. Raven asking him to keep distance from Hannah when she literally straddled him naked while he was still engaged to Hannah be so for real right now.

I don’t know what made Ares get engaged to Hannah instead of Raven yet but the way they are acting while he’s engaged to her literal sister is not it. I strongly believe that it’s not okay to be any kind of physical with in laws it’s disrespectful you’d never see me as much as hugging my brother in law let alone act like Raven is in this past chapter. Naked straddling Ares. Get married first then do it.

I’m getting the vibe that the author had to make the mmc a billionaire to add some type of “romantic grand gestures” through the book to make this a romance. Like him buying her an expensive necklace because he thought she looked at it, 100% would have liked to see his pov , I feel like it could’ve given us more to the book.

10 out of 10 with the whole New York vibe, the author living there really made her describe it really good and make you feel like you know where they are taking you. BUUUTTT it’s kind of boring, I don’t know if it’s because it’s purely on Elle’s pov or what it is but I’m sensing a lack of romance. The author throws in a lot of “romantic” billionaire gestures but without his pov it kind of sucks.

I hate Cam for Dusty …

Ugh.. I had been feeling a 4.75 ⭐️ for this one so far up until we finally got a little of how Gus and Cam even ended up having Riley.. and it made me dislike Cam a little. Tucker is such a sweetheart, his letters to her even after they haven’t spoken, his dads death, Cam sending her condolences to then sleep with Gus, and get a reply from Dusty the morning after kind of stings.

Another single mom moment where the author decides to make the male character not want kids if it means he can be with the female lead. I get it it’s fiction we can’t say Dusty chose to not have kids because Cam didn’t want them but didn’t he? He could’ve also seen himself with kids but now has to agree not to have any. Not only that the love of his life did have a kid from a one night stand.

I’m finding it a tiny bit slow paces I want to see more of Will, I wish it was duo POV

I was mistaken I am in fact still bored beyond belief with this couple it’s kind of annoying.

The Niko and Bran crumbs have been in every single book I can’t wait but I for sure MIGHT need a cleanser before going into theirs I don’t want to be disappointed.

Also why is there always mention of every single couple expect Creigh and Annika?! My favorite couple so far and no where to be seen.

Anyways almost half way and finally getting something out of this couple.. I have to say up until now I had been extremely bored with this book I was thinking maybe I needed a palette cleanser between legacy of god books, but it’s going smooth now hopefully!

Enjoying this one so much as well! It’s fun seeing Jermey jealous anytime he thinks Cecily is thinking of Landon. I read all day until my husband got home and we had errands to run and we have lots of errands tomorrow afternoon as well so hoping we got some reading in!

I wasn’t sure how I would feel over her having a crush on Landon, but I’m all for it now because I’m loving how she tries to “defend” him and Jermey gets jealous and annoyed about it. Again this is having some romance to the darkness like god of pain, unlike god of malice which was just darkness and kinks.

Omg is Merritt who I think she is?! She did happen to die five years ago prior.. omggggg
