As usual, Summers’ writing style grips me immediately and I’m quickly getting immersed into the world.

I’m enjoying the main character’s POV. But the POV of her “evil sister” almost seems too over-the-top vulgar and brash. It’s trying too hard to make her voice stand out from that of her “good” sister’s, but it makes her seem cartoony and the language seems unnecessarily excessive. Hopefully, she becomes less of a one-dimensional character as the book goes on.

This is pretty boring so far. Not much is happening, which can be perfectly okay but the way this book is written, it’s causing it to drag. I’ll try and tough it out but I’m having a really hard one connecting to the main characters.

This has a lot of potential, I’m just hoping that I’m able to connect more to the characters. Right now they are kind of distant.

What...why?? I'm so disgusted but I'm trying to see things through the characters' POV but I'm STILL not understanding their thoughts and choices. Ugh, I was enjoying this so much until now. Still going to finish and see if the choice they made is explored at all. It definitely needs to be because they so carelessly and quickly decided to let this happen.

So when you are on the run from Zombies and fighting to survive, worry about whether or not a man you don't know at all is your boyfriend and get frustrated that you can't 'take your relationship to the next level'. REALLY? You have nowhere to stay, no supplies and no food...but keep drooling over him like a teenage girl.

Definitely intrigued by the world and interested to see more world-building.

Seems interesting so far, but I can see where it could fall into typical YA cliches. Hope I’m wrong.

I just want to finish sooo bad but I have to work. I have nothing to do and could pull out the book, but it would be too obvious haha. For a book that is almost 400 pages, it's a very fast read.

Oh noooo :( No! Gosh I never thought I'd find a character that I can relate to in so many ways. I'm not exactly like Eliza, but in SO many ways I am.

This is one of the few times that a YA romance isn't making me gag or roll my eyes. No instalove and very sweet. I can really relate to the nervousness and anxiety when you are with someone new that you like, but are second guessing everything.

Oh wow, I'm really enjoying this now.

At first, I really struggled getting into this but it's getting a lot better now.Definitely a slower book that explores many different themes rather than an action packed survival book, but I don't mind.
