Rachman read at Elliott Bay Books tonight - a reading I had been anticipating for a couple weeks. Due to a 3 hour traffic jam I arrived as he was leaving. After explaining my situation he proceeded to give me a private 2 page reading followed by writing practically a short story in the book he signed for me. Completely besotted....
