The main character of this book is irritating. It makes me regret picking up the book again to read on. The process has been grueling.

SPOILERS: Banks killed Erik when he found out that Daphne was pregnant OR that they were together. Daphne was overcome with guilt, so she flees to her sister’s house and becomes a druggie. Banks threatens her that she will be next? Tova is super skeptical of Cameron, but eventually they become family and Cam has funds and Tova can stay with him at home.

SPOILERS: I’m going to predict the ending. Cameron accidentally loses the class ring inside the aquarium while mopping the floors. Marcellus picks it up for his collection, but after reflecting on it and remembering Erik was in the class of 1989, he gives it to Tova, who returns to the aquarium to check on Marcellus. The initials show it’s Erik’s ring. Cameron is Tova’s grandson she never knew about. 🤯
