I just realized this is now the 3rd book I'm reading by this same other and... I don't get it? Miserable people complaining about their lives and being gross? Like? That's all I'm getting? I feel like I'm being mean or like I'm missing something? I'll need to do some research and find some explanations

I HATEEEE when a series switches audiobook narrators and THEY PRONOUNCE THE CHARACTERS NAMES DIFFERENTLY. It haaaas to be CONSISTENT 🙄🙄🙄 Like who tf is William "leet" it's William "lit" PMOOOOO

Read by Cynthia Erivo?!?! That's really cool! (And tbh a little sad bc I like to have the same narrator for all books in a series for continuity of voices but I'll allow this one lol) I did not know she was the narrator until just now and now I'm even more excited to listen!

A book about war and 'banter' 🙄🙄🙄 I understood what a 'catch-22' was before starting this book. I just hate the idea of having a 'dnf' on my record.

The fanfic speak is a little much and makes me audibly laugh sometimes but otherwise it's... pretty good 😚

When I just finished reading Starters I felt like there was some of the story I was missing from when I read it in middle school? Like her mom seemed to have more of a role. I didn't realize till I looked at the series on Goodreads that there were the 4 additional short stories. And this one is exclusive to the version of the book I read! It's not even on Libby! Isn't that cool? Reading now while at home for Doja.

OMFG literally the first sentence in this damn book is referenced in The Chalice of the Gods. I thought the reference might just be random but it felt like it was real but I knew it wasn't from anything I'd read of his. I LOVE SHIT LIKE THIS

I put the audiobook on hold as soon as it was available on Libby 😂 Guess who's probably going to listen to the audio book right after finishing the physical book.

Why do all the vampires have to have fought for the confederacy? Like damn - Damon, Jasper, and now Bill. Were there only vampires in the south?

Pretty good so far. I think I'd rather read a physical graphic novel but on my phone is fine. A lot of the characters look different than I imagined.

Pretty good so far. I thought having Jacob's perspective would be annoying at first but it's honestly more interesting than Bella's 😬

I love that I have almost no memory of these books so everything happening is "new" to me. I've been listening to this for a couple hours straight on 1.7x speed so I just wanted to flex how far I've gotten.

It's HARD for me to get through this book even though like I am somewhat interested in it. Anyone have any tips?

Okay I'm chugging through this book and I've developed two strategies. 1. It's okay if I miss things I don't need to rewind every time. 2. I changed it from 1.5x to 1.75x speed bc it helps keep my brain more engaged.

It is a really good book though and Michelle Obama is soooooo cool.

This book is good and she definitely has had a remarkable and interesting life. I'm just having a hard time getting through it. I think I'm just a fiction girlie at heart.

Almost done I think this is definitely my least favorite of the three because it had such a slow start but it did pick up and make me tear up about 60% of the way through

I'm listening to the audiobook for this. I read it in Summer 2021 and it made me cry multiple times. It's so good I'd DEFINITELY recommend it.

Pretty slow so far. The author switches between the present, tons of background info, the future, and his own thoughts of the situation.

I started this over break but I've been putting it off I'll see if I can get through it.

At one point Nico says, "They look like Tartarus versions of Pokémon trainers" talking about Ephialtes and Otis and that made me laugh out loud
