I am LOVING this so far. The character work is amazing and its just such an enjoyable read so far.

I've never read a book like this before! I rarely read urban fantasy even though I have enjoyed it in the past. This feels like urban fantasy mixed with crime fiction in some ways. The world building is fantastic. I really get a sense of place with this novel. And I absolutely adore the way that vampires are written. There are so many different kinds and they all have different histories. I almost want a guidebook!

Enjoying this so far! It took a little while for me to connect with the characters but now I'm INTO it. Alex and Lauren are a lot more playful/teasy than Marcus and April in the first Spoiler Alert book and honestly it can get a little irritating, but overall really enjoying the character work and the slow burn. I can say now for sure that Olivia Dade is one of my top favorite romance authors!

This book is so precious! I am loving it. I love the characters so far and though I'm not typically a fan of fake dating, I think the reasons behind it are leading to so many conversations.

It is also really cool to learn so much about Bengali culture! This may be one of the first books I've read with Bengali rep.

Important, funny, sweet, and heartfelt. As of now, it's a five star read.

Things slow back down again around page 380! The Secret History is very longwinded so this book isn't for the faint of heart for sure. I couldn't call it one of my favorite books because there are moments that feel a little grueling (so school reading grueling). But the character work is fascinating and it's definitely impressive!

On a second reading, I found the first 100 pages to be very slow, but I forgot how quickly it picks up and once it does- you CANNOT put it down! One of my favorites.

I am enjoying this so far! I love the characters and the bruja/brujo magic seems really cool. The worldbuilding can be a tad confusing but overall it's super easy to read. Fast paced and I'm really enjoying the characters.

Wow I am LOVING THIS BOOK so far. I'm mad I didn't start it sooner. It is all the magic vibes I need right now and the world building is really cool.

I will return to this book at some point, but it's just so long and sort of slow! Feels more like a fall/winter book..

Wow this is so addictive. I love this world! I was in the mood for some historical fantasy and this is perfect.

This book is just so charming and cozy! Probably going to be one of my favorite Talia Hibbert books and I'm a super fan at this point.

Wow I'm so surprised at how much I am loving this romance! It's gritty and soulful and I have such a sweet spot for so many of the characters. What an engaging and often funny read! Definitely going to give more Brittainy C Cherry books a try.

Insanely HOOKED just from the first chapter omg

I already feel like this will be a five star read. The writing is gorgeous and Vanessa is so complex. I am rooting for her.

Wow im shocked at how much I am LOVING this book. It is sweet and funny and SMART making important comments about how media impacts the way we see women. I could follow Marcus and April's love story forever.

So I'm finally getting into it but omg chapter 7 was a wild ride [I could have used a trigger warning tbh] BUT I'm definitely invested in keeping reading!

I love the spookiness of it and the setting of Yale- all the literary references and magic are PURE FUN.

This is AMAZING so far. I really love the main character Magpie and see so many similarities between her and I in high school.

I've been wanting to give Katrina Leno a try for awhile so I'm pleased that I'm loving this one!

I can already tell this is going to be a quick, charming read. Also- wow! The food descriptions are mouthwatering. Very cute so far.

Wow. Wow. Wow. Some twists and turns that I was NOT expecting. Really beautiful writing. And Grandma Queenie is LIT- wise, inclusive, and funny (may be one of my favorite characters ever lol).
