Okay, yes. I have not been enjoying this series.

But why as soon as they throw in some more demonstrations of God's power, I'm immediately cheering and excited to read more?! 😭😂 I KNOW some disappointment is hiding around the corner.

The relationship between me and this series is becoming extremely toxic.

I like what I'm reading so far 😆

BUT since my youth, I have always been creeped out by certain types of illustrations of mythical creatures 🥲 I'm doing my best to hold it together, but some of these illustrations are scaring me 😣 Next page! Please next page!

I wasn't expecting it to be so hard to execute 🥲

There are details to spiritual warfare - teeny tiny - details that we miss all the time. Now that I see them here. I'm starting to notice the state of my own life and the deep need for prayer as well as the undeserved grace God supplies.

Why did it never occur to me to actually understand WHY and what it means to even pray "in Jesus name"? 😅

I wish I knew sooner 😂

Oh my! The armor of Satan! If we have covering in God, then we can definitely have something else covering us in evil. I just never realised that the false hopes and beliefs we wear are also armor... 🤯

This is my first time seriously investigating intercession, and I feel my weakness.
God is loving, always listening, faithful. Jesus healed, preached, fed, and wept with and for us.
Persevering prayer IS challenging. Hope slips, you cry out, and you are reminded who He is. Prayer seems unanswered, but faith compels us to return to our knees.
God is who says He is. Don't give up.

Rahab's introduction; being someone who sits in enemy walls, watching the Israelites, being a prostitute, hearing of a God who delivers others... It's easy to relate. Before we get grafted in, like Rahab, don't we know of Him?
We harden our hearts, but we know. I once questioned how Rahab could've believed enough to risk herself as she did. But how do we?

I think I suddenly have some clarity on this point.

It never occurred to me that Rahab's bravery, intelligence, observational ability, and fear of God didn't start by hiding the spies.

God often has us ready to receive blessing. To give us a blessing we can not handle before time would crush us, right? Rahab's heart must've been prepared in advance by the very trials she had lived through. By hearing of the God of the Israelites.

I love how well this points to us taking our own thoughts captive and that we must guards well our hearts 🤭 I'm so eager for the rest of the upcoming symbolism.

I may have actually lost all interest in this series. Yet, here I am somehow 😅 4 books left, eager for it to be over and still... mesmerised everytime I see the characters acting honourably or we get to see Scripture lived out by the author's fictional interpretation 🥲

I'm not sure my heart can take what's to come. I mean really, what else is left? There's so little. But it's precious little 🥺

🤔 God gives us power and authority on earth... Our prayers affect things. So, this new artifact makes me nervous. BUT power in the right hands looks different than the same power in the wrong hands. So, I'm also excited to see how Thomas uses this.

Will he pray for guidance? Will he mess up lives? Will he be tempted towards evil? 🤭
