i’m only 50 pages in and i can already tell this is going to change my life. a taste defining read for sure. never have i been so attracted and enamored by a characters enigmatic and fantastically funky voice. i’m obsessed. going to savor this one for sure

when will it end

i’m obsessed so far. the secret history if it was at a southern wealthy all women’s college in the 50s. not the most most impressively written in language or skill, wish it had a bit more subtly about the secrets being hinted at bc i’m already working out the details. includes one of my fav tropes which is omniscient narrator including a detail casually like we should know but has never been brought up before

idkkkkk. this is not interestingly or well written enough for me to be super excited to continue reading. i will say it got me very emotional very early on but not necessarily through skilled writing, more so just well established/developed characters. narrator is a bit too young for me personally also. also unhinged narratives rarely work for me when they have to develop from such flat/boring starts

this is genuinely one of the worst things i’ve ever had the displeasure of reading but i will persist

this shit is mad repetitive!!! and why has violet become the most insanely contradictive narrator of all time! girl pleeeeasseee! really hoping for some more interesting plot movement and for better development of violets character besides “ughhh im lying to my friends and i hate caden for having secrets but im also a liar and secret keeper”
i persevere for tairn <3 my beloved

ok i’m conflicted. like i’ve definitely been gagged at moments but other times i really struggle to take anything seriously. doesn’t help that the audiobook im listening to is insanely cringey at times. however i have enjoyed turning this on and dissociating while i walk or clean. i’m not terribly attached or interested in any of the romance as much as k am the fucking dope sick ass dragons ….

i’m listening to this as an audiobook. novice romantasy reader and it’s really not my thing but this is my solution to sitting and watching tv or scrolling. so far not super impressed or interested but it’s something to do lol

i can already tell this is going to be a 5 star book WOW it’s rare i find a book that i love this early on i’m blown away
