Upside: First time I saw my name in a book!!!!
Downside: "Boston. God, what a terrible name. It's what you name your dog, not your kid." 🙃

I think i just really dislike Nora Roberts' writing. This is the 5th book I've read by her (I keep trying ya'll) and I'm just *bored*

I'm so bored. I was lured in with the witness-protection/crime fighting spy/tech gadgets premise, but it's sooooo dry so far and I have no love for any of these characters

This book is dripping with internalized misogyny

Is it just me, or are these characters' names repeated way too much??? The more I hear "Tressa Fay" the more I despise the name

Re-reading after 6 years, because I remember just really liking the historical references and characters!

Still not totally vibing with this one. I just can't get into it for some reason!!

Please don't smite me, but I'm reeeally struggling to get into this third book. I mostly forgot what happened in Iron Flame, and this picks up immediately after, so I had to read a summary to catch back up in order to comprehend wtf was going on. Even so, I'm not vibing with it yet. 🤞 Wish me luck

I challenged myself to Hallmark-esque Christmas books for December, and I've vehemently hated and DNF 3, while gaining strong urges to scream and break things.
Here's hoping a queer love story can change the tides!

This book is so bad. It feels like a rough draft that skipped editing and was just accidentally published.

I HATE THIS BOOK. Each conversation gets re-hashed to the other characters, so it's just repeated constantly and there is no forward progress ahhhhhh

The first time I've said this, but the TV adaptation is better than the book 🙃
