I feel like the first 20% of this book is rather slow, but I feel it really starting to pick up, the hype is starting to be understood🙌

Ok. Restarting this one. I REALLY wanted to deep dive into this series this winter, but I don’t think I was in the right mindset to appreciate the full potential. Off to a good start.

So I had no idea this was Y/A when I purchased this on a whim. GOSH. The gothic atmospheric vibes?? IMMACULATE! The characters thus far are intriguing and I can’t wait to see where all the odd turns are going.

LOVE. T is my FAV horror author. After Reading a House with Good Bones last summer (✨obsessed✨) I gave this book a try when I found it at the local book shop. It has humor, historically correct narratives, art, and most importantly BUGS! (Even if they are unfortunately flesh eating.) I cannot wait to see how this plays out!🐞🦟🐜🐛🕷️

Everything about this book is like rage bait to me, but alas, I can’t put the damn thing down so I guess it’s working

Not my typical read — I needed something that was an easier read to get me out of my feels after finishing a book that altered my brain chemistry, and knew I’d need something to make me feel better. I saw recommendations that Freida McFadden books are a quick & entertaining read, and so far, it’s just that!

so far very well. It’s a perfect gothic / oddity book perfect for a winter read.
