At this point I'm just trying to get through for the mystery which still has me gripped.

I love how quickly the mystery was introduced, just immediately intriguing. The attempt at adding life and depth to the characters is appreciated especially for a sci fi, but let's be real I'm here for the alien artefacts and that's a 10/10. I'm hooked

It's like A Short Sharp Shock by KSR ❤️ delightfully surreal and mysterious and I have no idea where the story is going

Oh no please don't tell me I'm going to have to follow Fassin through this whole story. Give me a time jump or a death or something please.

So far I love the scale and scope, the characters not in Fassin's orbit are compelling, the universe and its other inhabitants too.
