I’m consuming and I am happy

The book could stand to spend a lil more time describing the surroundings and the scene to help the reader navigate the high intensity scenes. It is like the author threw the map and family tee at the front of the book to avoid having to include any of these explanations but instead it just makes you feel a lil lost.

It has an odd perspective and I’m trying my best to get into the mindset of the elephant but it is very animalistic. I am intrigued though

Such a fascinating book. It is amazing the amount of connections we can draw to our own experiences by learning about fungi. Truly a book that challenges the way you perceive the world around you and the human definitions we apply to our world.

Man what a brutal book. I like how I am starting to see the generational impacts of their decisions.

It is really well written and very fascinating to be learning a lot about other cultures. I am curious to see how the story progresses to connect to Pirbhai’s decision.

It is strange, this book is both whimsical and gut wrenching at the same time. I love how the stories are told within stories. It is a book about relationships: relationships with those around you, relationships with the world, and relationships with yourself. I am loving it so far.

Seems like it might be a hard book to read but it has some beautiful language. What a fucked up first chapter.

This is such an interesting concept of names being used to automate objects. It’s definitely hard to understand some of the concepts in the story but it’s so unique and captivating, I really loved learning about this world. I think there are a lot of parallels with this world and ours and it really speaks to the power of names. I wish the story was longer!
