A very sad, evocative, beautifully written book. I didn't need the erotic passages but I suppose for some they give the book more emotional impact. Overall it resonated true... damaged people looking for light in the wrong places.

In all honesty I couldn't finish this. The main character's choices and actions made no sense and it was depressing as all get out and I just didn't need that in my life.

Great book! One of Grisham's best, in my opinion.

Any time I've read Oswald Chambers it takes a really long time because I have to take a bite and chew on it for a day or two. Chambers is blunt, speaks in unrelenting absolutes, and yet manages to be so humane and humble. And yet, there is a lot of "ouch" because the truth hurts. Any book of Chambers's is worth spending the time to really dig into.

I like the ESV and use it for reference and study. I found that overall, I prefer the NKJV, but the ESV is a fine translation.

I am struggling to enjoy the book because of the lack of writing conventions (i.e. punctuation, quotation marks).

A fresh and original post-apocalyptic thriller. However for me the depth of characters was lacking, and although this was an entertaining read I will not be continuing the Saga.

Re-reading the entire Thomas Covenant series in anticipation of the final installment due in September. It only took 35 years to write the ten books!!

I LOVE this book. One of the best and most original things I've read, ever.
