I’ve read this book twice already. Now I’m taking a shot at the audiobook. This one really hit home with me. No- I did not date someone who became a movie star - but the themes parallel to the part of my life at the same stage of Lara’s life as she tells her story to her daughters.

I don’t remember this book being so sad when I read it. Maybe it’s the narrator. Good thing I have the humor of Nancy Mitford to pair it with.
