so much is happen rn. i still dont really care about jinao and i still miss temi. i think jinaos journey of learning about. the truth of things is interesting. but i dont care about this guy.
loved everything with elari and boleo. love elaris little...queerplatonic polycule type thing her guilt and PTSD and everything. boleo is just interesting and im fascinated with his goals and cant wait to learn more.

part 1 of this book did feel quite slow. it didnt pick up for me until chapter 5, but i dont think theres anything to be done about. i think its a me “problem”.

theres a lot of information but i do appreciate that im just thrown into things. also interested in, what i believe, to be a trans protag (specifically trans man/trans masc). 2nd person feels a little weird to me (just not a POV im super fond of) but to do like how its told so far and Eolo is interesting.

i continue to love orpheus and eurydice, i love them so much!!

the trio, orpheus, eurydice, and charon is pretty great too. still hate that charon calls eurydice "baby". despis it every time it comes up.

also was reminded that hades calls persephone "little siren" also very horrible to me.

i do think i needed this after the poppy war and the deep. this series is fun.

not bad but also feels...weird ig? i cant say im fully invested, but am interested enough to keep listening. i like this narrator, i think theyre very talented. i think the writing it pretty good, i havent read a historical type novel before, but not of the language is confusing or boring. and none of it feels out of place to me, so i think the author did a lot of research. i shall continue.

oh man, so much is happening! rin and nezha new, more positive relationship is pretty great! it was nice reading about them chatting, call each others shit, but still find comfort with each other. also rin's relationship with alten is interesting right now. alten is going thur after his defeat and hes lowkey taking it out on rin. but she wants so badly to please him. i dunno. i miss kitay!!

oh boy. i do love that rin is so power hungry and like...military minded. shes so fun to follow!

rin is a really fun protag. i love that her goal now is to gain power for herself, more so than respect. its fun. i also like how angry she is.
