I’m currently not loving this as much as natural beauty. I find Enka to be a kind of character that is irks me. She is painfully insecure, she is jealous and full of self-pity, she has no agency in her own life. I wish she was more into Mathilde or more curious about the doll company, or more crazy. Right now she’s just so nothing.

Omg somehow this book has managed to get more boring.
I know there’s a lot of love for this out there but it’s not from.
imagine you go to read a biography of Abraham Lincoln, and it’s both real and fake journal entries and then also there’s vampires. There’s down to the minute war planning but also vampires. I’m only continuing reading because it’s a book club
