at first the book was kind of empty but still somehow interesting... then i got to the reveal of dongfang bubai, which i really really didn't like. still gonna finish the book but it's gonna have to do something really incredible to get higher than 3 stars from me

A rare occurrence, so far I’m enjoying the book less than the movie. The writing style began as unappealing and too stream-of-consciousness. It did begin to grow on me, but the Springsteen diss made me unhappy.

I can’t do this anymore. The tense changes, unlikeable characters, just general bad-ness made this book unreadable for me. I’m not going to finish it.
