It reads like a self published work where the author had eight different ideas for an opening chapter and decided to write ALL eight of them and splice them up and waste the readers time for the first chunk of the book. And when the side characters are more colorful to follow than the main ones and their are to many “mysteries” to follow then you’ve lost me. There is nothing romantic about this book.
