Funnier than expected so far but also just as much rereading sentences as expected so far

Half the chapters: *the most impressive sci fi both for how much of it came true and how much of it is still a dream and so complex but fun and brilliant*
Other half: “we were 84degrees west longitude 95 degrees south latitude 17 minutes 22 seconds sailing at a rate of 18 knots per hour at a water temperature and pressure of..”

DNF-ing because:
- he essentially eschews research findings that aren’t his own saying instead that patients are textbooks
- says he doesn’t have a theoretical orientation or preferred modality but clearly won’t deviate from his own approach
- mentioned literal war crimes and was like “that poor man who did that” with no words for the victims
- said a 2 year old flirted with him
- generally bad science
