Omg I LOVE how she (the author) incorporates pop culture into this book with references to popular artists and popular books but without actually saying their names or titles. Like when she talks about “the Juno positions” and “a book with accidental cannibalism”, we know who/what she’s talking about without needing the exact title and I love that so much
