Started listening to the audio book while driving to Charlotte for a work trip today 👍

Figured I should start reading this series again since I left off

Wow this audio book has been flying by, um I really like the constant investigation into language both as a way that we communicate amongst ourselves as well as a mode to reach out to foreign people who we don’t understand. I guess the choice to make the empire in these books so heavily reliant on poetry as a form of communication was really cool and interesting.

Alright I’m gonna have to see fan art of these aliens because that description was all over the place

Ok my library loan is almost up and who knows when I’ll get a copy of this again so I’m marking that I am at the start of chapter 20 for when I pick this back up (hopefully soon)

This book is like “what if a disaster gay had eldest daughter syndrome but their mother is a morally gray super AI that’s shoved into a government building?”

Progress update, reading this book is like trying to understand someone’s fever dream. Some of it kind of makes sense. It’s really interesting so far and I love a good mech sci-fi book so I’m kind of just letting it wash over me and hoping it’ll make sense as I go.
