A very interesting memoir from someone who served as an MP in the occupation of Japan. It had a very strong and interesting first half. Great articles on American history.

Sadly, it’s as if one can stop reading this series after volume 17. So much momentum has been lost after the highs of volume 16. Only one more to go after this one.

This is a really funny book so far—even from the first sentence: “Professor Dr Moritz-Maria Von Igelfeld often reflected on how fortunate he was to be exactly who he was, and nobody else.”
