It says a lot about a the quality of a book when I breathe a sigh of relief every time I see that a chapter is about the gory realities of a POW camp instead of being about this garbage protagonist's garbage relationships.

How can a book with this much sex and violence be this boring? Oh right, because it’s stream-of-consciousness slice of life and freaking LONG for that technique.
