Yeah yeah DNF, what a relief to give up on this book! The fake world building really did my head in. This was such a tiresome read- everything has been done before and there was nothing fresh. It reminded me on why I keep giving up on romance novels.

Look I’m really trying to just get through this book but the pacing omggggg so many worrrrds for nothing to be happening. How many times can he suck her blood and have her orgasm just to act as tho that’s character development and pushing the narrative forward? Like girl let’s be so for real.

Just started this book a few chaps in. Was recced it at a book club and really needed to read something light and cheery given what’s up at home now. But honestly the MMC is 10 years younger, her twin brother who is a do-good Doctors Beyond Borders is secretly marrying a pop star. I don’t know brrrrro. It’s giving throw everything at the reader for now. my favourite character so far is a photo of a goat in PJs

DNF. I finished the first 2-3 chaps but I’m over these people I don’t care about tbh. Done. Byeee.

Trudging through this. Now that I’ve likened it to fanfic, it has its moments of endearment. The characters are pretty shallow and idk why I thought it’d a zombie apocalypse romance (I kept waiting for that to happen). This is why I should read summaries 😪

The style is unnecessarily dramatic and the language is very trite. I was getting quite annoyed but then I imagined it was a young person’s first attempt at original male character fanfiction and that made it a lot more acceptable in quality.

Here we go again! Trying to read this book for the nth time.
