I don't think I'm the target audience so DNFing

I'm actually disappointed that one of the conversations that I've been looking forward to happened off page. I was looking forward to this character's reaction...

I really can't decide whether in a world of mages a witch hunt is or isn't realistic. As in, there are some mages that get branded as "witches" and hunted for religious reasons by other mages.. Actually, people are stupid so it's more realistic than I'd like it to be.

I can already tell I'd need to seriously suspend my disbelief for this one 😂

The series should have ended with Role Model, I don't actually understand why out of all the characters it's these 2 that are the most popular PRE-adaptation

I don't care for this case. It's way too science based and not dynamic enough for me. It's dragging more than I'd like it to and I want it over so I can get to the next book and finally see why Brad was killed

I should have known this would be a "baby only" book by the chapter heading graphic but I was hoping for it to not be.
After reading Valor and Doyle I kind of expected the same approach (case first, book ends with a baby) 😅

Maybe if I wasn't coming from a crime romance series I would be enjoying this more but right now I think the plot is bullshit and I can't suspend my disbelief

I honestly don't know how to feel about this book. It's so surface level and there are so many little thing that are just so dumb 😂 and the tropes are straight out of 2012 😅 I like nostalgia as much as the next person but this is just outdated I'd say. If Lux was fantasy this would be it
