Needed a new audiobook to listen to at work and this had been on my list for a while. I'm really enjoying it! Amazing food porn if you can get past the violence, and it's nice to see proper morally gray pirates.

Started the audiobook at work this morning. The characters are charming but the narrator sounds like if a pair of Khaki pants became human. For once I hope there isn't a sex scene because if I have to hear Mr. Khaki say the word 'cock,' I will be throwing my phone out a window.

Pretty awful so far. This guys simps so hard for Apple that I think he used to be Steve Jobs' side piece. He mentions historical anecdotes that make it clear he has never fact-checked anything he's ever been told. So glad I checked this out from the library and didn't actually buy it. If I wasn't reading it for work, I'd return it now without finishing.

I am more confused, not less. Also I convinced my wife to read the first book and when I woke up she had just finished it and was angry at me.

I have never been so confused, but in a way that keeps me reading, desperately running towards the (hopeful) moment of clarity.
