A fabulous coming of age novel, following Lucy through being 15-20 and experiencing all the confusion of her first love in a homophobic environment where she feels it has to be kept a secret and she has to hide her queer identity from friends and family alike. I think it’s beautifully written, but it is very slow. It reminded me of normal people in the writing style.
