“She’d finally gotten him to do his own laundry” I’m so over this book omg. The writing is horrific the plot is horrible I don’t even want to finish but at this point the audiobook is jsut background noise as I clean.

🥱

I don’t get the hype…this book is flat and revolves around abuse, the storyline isn’t cohesive (two separate timelines based on different names??? Confusing to determine the actual plot)

I can already tell I’m going to dislike this based on the writing style and character development thus far 🫩

I am absolutely blown away by the level of skill used to create such artful writing

Audiobook

Picked this book up today from a little free library, it’s been on my want to read list for a while so I’m excited to begin!

🥱

Started audiobook, heavy themes of Mormonism introduced right away, not a fan when the memoir tries to justify abuse thru inability to link forms of abuse together.

I stopped to read the authors bio and everything makes sense. I feel like I’m back in a college statics and dynamics course in every chapter. Uninteresting word choice and predictable plot so far.

Part 2

Really struggling with this one due to personal reasons....putting in hold for now
