catherine thinks mr tilney killed his wife?? and henry sort of confronts her about it. this is weird as shit.

she’s been invited to northhanger abbey (hello title card) by miss tilney and she has accepted. also, thorpe has more or less declared his feelings for her through isabella and catherine has declined.

THEY FUUUUUUCKED. and it was so beautiful i could cry.

THEIR FIRST KISS WAS DURING A GAME IN FRONT OF ALL THEIR FRIENDS??? summer separation, driving lessons with giles, SANDY?? LYALL PROPOSING TO SANDY?? SIRIUS CALLING FROM DOVER? GRAND THEFT AUTO?????? LUPIN ROW, HAND IN HAND ENDING. i’m going insane.

find me SOMEBODY TO LOOOOVE. chills. my entire body was vibrating. i felt like i was drunk on the elixir of life. what a grand feeling.

barty is also a fucking trick ass asshat who could probably benefit from a pity fuck. oh my god what a prick. and regulus. where the fuck is his spine. i would have pictured him a more mature swot but clearly not the case. peter’s on drums and james associates color with sound which i think is such a unique touch to his character. i love the way remus is completely and utterly entranced by sirius, very realistic.

“my mother didn’t kill herself!!!” I AM REEEELING. this batch of chapters was full of so much raw emotion. remus is so full of rage and unprocessed feelings that it’s seeping out of him like the fake blood sirius wanted to spill over regulus’ head. it’s getting closer though now, i can feel it. the slow burn’s wick is getting shorter and we’re nearing the big fat climax of it all. i’m so excited.

finally we have moony, wormtail, padfoot and prongs.
remus being head over heels about sirius and not being able to cope on my gaaaaawd the yearning. TONYA’S LETTER LEFT ME IN PIECES. sirius being remus’ confidant is so sweet to me. they’re developing such a strong and loving relationship whilst also being 17 and it’s just so perfectly written. i love peter’s characterization in this book, a true artist.

a bit boring, im trying to keep up with the story but since i’m reading the cadence of part time poets alongside it it’s a little difficult. however, catherine is lovely and i find her very entertaining and funny. the language is a little hard to follow but the story is simple enough.

chapter 50 is my favorite so far.
remus and sirius play 20 questions and i want to sob. i think motswolo does an amazing job and capturing these characters and their personalities.

i’m devouring this shit UPPPP. i am so locked in and obsessed with the way the story is going. remus going crazy over sirius? the random boners? lily and james? marlene and remus being gay asf. fuuuck i love these little people.

im soooooo invested. this is so creative and fun to read. the jokes and small gags are perfectly written and so akin to each of their characters. i’m obsessed.

so at this point in the book, hazel is dead but not dead, she’s hanging out with the other exhaled mythics in an invisible dome in the middle of golden gate park in SF because rick riordan. NAOMI SOLACE MENTIONNNN SO EXCITED.

rick riordan you are truly the king of references. i now down to you.

oh this is getting interesting. the music part of the story is coming into view and i’m loving it. the OC’s in this are so damn cool and realistic, which adds a fresh perspective to the story of the marauders as a whole. also a lot of canon references in descriptions and animagus jokes. love love love.

at this point the mythical are getting kidnapped by some minor god that has not been revealed to us yet, and everyone is very on edge. really loving seeing frank’s son of mars side a lot more in this book. lowk making me wanna re-read heroes of olympus…

seeing characters or making a reference towards characters of past books, like hazel and Frank, Lavinia, Telemachus, Percy, Annabeth, Leo, Jason, it’s cool to see that these people have canon interactions outside of the books, and it keeps the memory alive. I like the fact this story shows that monsters or myth in this case, realize that they don’t have to live their lives in shame, and are capable of change.

in any case, I don’t know how this man does it. He keeps putting out books like his life depends on it and honestly, I think him for it because I love them and I genuinely have such a great time reading each, and everyone of them, it thrust me back into the land of Greek mythology and childhood, and how it feels to be enveloped something that you love.

that’s my only major criticism which can get annoying at times, because gay relationships are just the same as straight ones and he doesn’t have to be lovey-dovey all the time characters can have fear to express themselves in public or knowing nico‘s personality. In my opinion he’d be less PDA less nicknames more actions or acts of service to show will that he’s there.

so, comparing the way, Percy and Annabeth treat each other and talk to each other, and how the subtle references and minor details reveal that there are a couple and make it very obvious to the reader that they are in love, but the boys’ relationship is very much shoved at us instead of revealing itself in a normal way. If you played take a shot with everytime they said boyfriend, you’d be drunk by the hour.

in this particular addition of nico story, I think Mark Oshiro has influence in how Will and nico ‘s dynamic is portrayed, which is good I think Rick was very right in hiring them because he doesn’t understand the queer experience from personal experience, so he wants to make sure that he portrays this relationship with grace. I do however think that it’s a bit on the nose sometimes.

I love Rick Riordan‘s books, and the way that he dives into Percy Jackson’s world every single time, but without making every book that he writes the same or even coming from the same voice. During the Olympians saga we’ve had voices excluding the dual POV of the heroes of Olympus books. And nico feels very insecure and genuinely afraid, his character reflects anxiety, but also room for Hope.
