sarah has escaped from the concentration camp with her friend rachel and set off for home to free her brother from the cupboard.

remus is back in london for the holidays and things have apparently changed. tonya is tomny’s new gf and she has this motherly/sisterly vibe that immediately comforts remus. she is 19 to remus’ 15 (almost 16). chapter 17 was eerily sweet and homely and it felt so warm to read.

very interesting, easy to read. the modern chapters are a bit cliché but definitely looks to be a good read. or at least an entertaining one.

it’s very enemies to lovers too.
sirius and remus don’t like each other in the beginning but they slowly warm up to one another. also love the inclusion of peter as an actual marauder. james is still james. always.

i love how remus is more or less the same in every fic. obviously the context influences his personality but he’s still… remus. and he feels so familiar every time. sirius is less consistent, in some fics he’s incredibly cocky and immature, and in some he is obnoxious and loud but also incredibly vulnerable. in this one in particular he is the former, which is a different sirius i see very little of.

MAAAAN. that was 400 pages of nothing. nada. zilch. zero.

okay. it has some good parts and some really engaging plot points. the chapters are short which makes less of a boring time. i’m trying to be optimistic about it since im very close to finishing it.

boring, sort of. not really engaging. im treating it like a cleanser between books.

slow but also fast paced in a way? weird all up in your face plot with little to no context. basic characters but good descriptions and believable dialogue.

very sudden, all up in your face start. let’s see how this goes.

bro that was the stupidest ending ever

very repetitive in nature. take a shot everytime someone says or thinks the word “addict”. it’s a very slow carrying story, i’m a little past the middle and it’s still not going anywhere.

maybe it’s because it just read Frankenstein but it feels a little bland. I really like the concept and the plot that it’s yet to establish but the dialogue feels off and the descriptions are really repetitive at times even though I’m still in the first chapters. Nicole‘s addiction is mentioned a lot but in a very in your face way, like the author’s concerned we’re gonna forget she’s a drug addict.

I really like this overall it was very beautifully written Mary Shelley does a wonderful job of making me feel things for complex characters, even if you know they are the villain or the antagonist in this case. My favorite part about this is that if you read it the Hollywood version of it it’s gonna take you completely by surprise. she inspires me to be more formal writer.

BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN MENTION!! this makes so much sense. he just wants a companion :(

it’s a very strange tale. i never would have imagined the story unfolding this way considering what we all know it to be. the monster talks, for one, and Frankenstein is actually telling this story to a traveler who saved him at sea. he’s sort of in love with his adopted-sister-cousin? and igor just straight up doesn’t exist.

this is the first marauders, alternate universe, fanfic that I have read so far that does not involve magic and I think it is a very interesting way to look at things, considering Remus is still a yob, he just has no magic. everyone’s pretty much the same just the includes James which I think is amazing I’ve never actually read them with this characterization and I love it.

i’m very excited to read this, this month. this is a classic and i admire mary shelley very much. i am currently in the foreword written by her husband.

silly, simple, easy to follow.

it’s about these 2 kids who basically grew up in a city that is indoors. they don’t know what the sky looks like. and they take notice that their mayor is stealing rare supplies they have left, and the you g girl part of the duo finds the instructions to leave.

childish and sweet, intriguing and silly.

it’s a little childish but it’s cute, small bottle city so far, main girl is called lina and main dude is called doon. really odd fucking name but hey, lol.

it was a very beautiful story. not my cup of retelling, personally, but inspiring nonetheless.

konstance is getting somewhere now, she’s digging deep into zeno’s backstory.

2 chapters per night. we’re gonna make it. konstance has entered a moving part in the atlas and it’s zeno’s reality in 2020.

i already know zeno dies because they mention it a few chapters back :( i just wonder how. also anna just got split in the head by who?? aethon has made it to cloud cuckoo land as a crow.

rex is alive and invited zeno to london but he’s already taken:( and seymour is getting worse by the second.

who was zeno ninis?
