Absolutely excellent summary of Sicilian History. Engaging, fast paced with an excellent summary of ancient history, the cosa nostra and modern politics and culture. Learned so much and glad I read it on my sailing trip around the Aolian!

Yeah yeah, I know what the hater say and it’s true. The book is filled with stereotypes galore, but boy it takes you on a journey and the moments and hours fly past and that’s a gift to thank Terry Hayes for. so forget about being woke and just enjoy the ride.
