9-21-26 starting book 2, The Laughing Corpse.

Got to 58% by book club meeting. Had figured out most of the twists. It challenged my suspension of disbelief. The two main characters were too much the same person, spoke with the same voice.

Libby loan ended before I could finish.

It’s like trying to read The Game Of Thrones books all at once. I feel like I’ve read for hours but I’m only on chapter 10 (14%), and I’m still not totally sure of anything. There are SO MANY names, places, beliefs, and ideas it’s hard to find my reading rhythm.

Interesting characters and world. Very curious where it all going.

The reading order suggests two books from two other series before this one for a reason. I can tell I’ve missed to much to continue until I have read those two books.
