Ok, so I started this as an audiobook in February when I was commuting to Durham. But I stopped. Not because I didn’t enjoy it, but because I enjoyed it too much. I decided I had to stop listening to it, buy a hard copy and actually read it to fully enjoy and appreciate it. I’ve read other books in the meantime, but now it’s time to unpack this one. Just a few chapters in, and I’m absolutely loving it.

Audiobook: I’ve been listening to this on the way to and from work. It’s by the author who wrote Killers of the Flower Moon. I like him pretty well; he writes about history that’s so crazy that it sounds like fiction. I am NEVER stepping foot in the Amazon

I would have been the king of Jamestown

Picked this one up at the reader’s corner to prepare for my trip with Lillian to Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestown. So far, soooo interesting (Sir Francis Drake circumnavigated the globe in the 1570s!! Like dang!!!) I think it’ll help give me a better appreciation when seeing Jamestown

A little confused but overall digging it

The next audiobook for my commute. I’m about an hour in and so far I think it’s very good

I like to switch up the styles of books I read consecutively, i. e. following up Jane Austen with Stephen King. This one is good so far. Easy read but pretty dark (not unexpectedly)
