not exactly sure where i am in the book since i’m listening to audio but i am okay with this being kind of incoherent but the erotica in here is…… uh. not my thing. i’m trying to stomach through it as best i can. i LOVED the movie but cronenberg, i wish the book was similar. but having that prior knowledge helps me interpret the text better and appreciate his work as a director more

this is so beautiful. i feel a story weaved through this. i love some of the repeating symbols (the ball gowns, sails, how eyes relate to skies). gahhh there’s too much to recount so far that i love!!!!

i have enjoyed every minute of this book. i’m slow to read it because i want to take it in, and i put it down so often because it inspires my own writing. i feel rejuvenated as i read and write. it’s becoming my bible
