I made fun of this boom before I read it because it’s less than 300 pages and how it’s that gonna cover the history of South Africa but it was quite academic and dense and very informative so I’ll eat crow

This was not good idk how the show turned out so well

Everything in this book has been done before (and done better) but still entertaining. At first I didn’t like it, then I started enjoying it, then took a break and finishing it off again was kinda over it and just wanted to be done

This was really good I low key teared up at the end. Dragged on a bit at times… lines up to the hype though
