I’ve restarted some chapters because he may think this book is riveting…
It’s always fun to read accounts of events that aren’t officially history yet but haven’t fully faded from the plane of current events.
That said, this reads (sounds) like a cheap thriller- not as a serious series of events that led to the death of many thousands of people. Maybe it’s the narrator?
The narrator is overdramatizing.

Restarted chapter two

Such fun. Things are beginning to come together but I am sure there will be a twist or two to come.

Reading ch 8.
His insights are edifying. Romans is a dense book even with Paul’s repetitive presentation but rhetoric needs to be to bring the message home.

A mild pretension at times but Father Pat backs it up… let the scholar-priest do his thing!

I love how there is no mollycoddling here.
1.5 hours of explanation and instruction.
All of it from Church teachings in the first century.
Acedia is real and you don’t always need a pill.
