I’m reading Emily Wilson’s translation specifically. Just made it through all 91 pages of introduction and don’t know why it won’t show up properly in Goodreads

This book is so good, but if anything happens to Edgar…I swear to god.

I hate her fiancé so much. He is such a walking red flag. He chooses his friends over her, he shares things she told him in confidence, he won’t allow her to disagree with him, he insists on driving her instead of teaching her because it forces her dependence, etc. If they don’t break up by the end of this book, I’ll be upset.
