i've never been more of a feminist

just started, my favorite topic by my favorite author!! i'm so excited to read this, i'm reading in print for the first time in years

this book is honestly great, i have so much empathy for Marie.

i'm LOVING this book

i'm STRESSED

spicy

i'm loving the world building and the lore! i feel like i'm in the main characters shoes a bit

I'm getting through it. It's not that I don't like it, necessarily....

Wow, I am loving this book. I adore the way O'Farrell recounts both the current events and the events in Lucrezia's past at the same time. It ties in the significance and adds complex layers. I sympathize a lot with Lucrezia and her tragic story.

I'm slightly conflicted on this book; I'm not sure I like the "falling in love with my abuser" trope, especially when it's not very historically accurate. Philippa created this situation to "explain" the baby's 8 month gestation, which I think is cheap.

Love the r*pe scene less than 5 chapters into the book. *sarcasm*

wow!!! poor margaret, she really got the bad end of the stick. I like the faster pace of this book, since the previous 2 books covered all the events already. I like the character development. I know who wins the last battle, but I'm still on edge!

i feel so bad for Margaret, wow. such a difference from the first 2 books

onto the next

I'm so excited to read this book, I love Philippa Gregory's Plantagenet and Tudor series.

I probably won't finish this, it's not a bad book but it's not great either. Also major tw for domestic violence????

I love this book! I can feel the absolute anguish and all the emotions Emma writes into these characters. So excited to see how the rest of it goes!
