This was the first Tolkien I read (right before the Hobbit movies came out). I remember I liked it at the time but with my only experience being the LOTR movies, it wasn’t what I expected. But having read more Tolkien now and then doing this as a read aloud/unit study with my kids this summer has been soo fun and we are all loving it!! 🌿

Rereading since my last time was in college!

Definitely not my preferred writing style but it’s an important topic and I’m interested and learning but it’s a lottttt

Alright people I’ve spent decades not reading this for no reason except to be able to say I’ve never read them so I’m finally ready to throw away all that hard work to see what the hubbub is all about.
