A re-read I took up following the Dobbs decision. It's infuriating and enraging to read this book eight years later and see through Gay's brilliant, incisive, and humane perspective how far backward we have gone as a society regarding equal rights even since this book's publication. So much of this book continues to resonate and to demand contemplation. Still one of the best American feminist essay collections.
