This has been such a wonderful surprise....yes there's a shit ton of trauma, but the story is rich and the pacing is perfect. It's very character driven, and the balance between revelation and frustration is perfect.

I can't believe book 1 is close to being done and I don't feel any "cringe" towards any particular character. I'm intrigued by them all (ok, maybe not King Arius...)
