Short and succinct book summarizing important points in black history that may not reach the classrooms. It felt more like an essay, getting at the most important parts without wasting words. Good to listen to as an audiobook. The message rings clear.

What an epic journey! This was one of the strangest yet incredibly compelling books I’ve read in a while. It captures Iranian and Iranian-American experiences in very unique ways. All very heartbreaking.
